About
The Ohio University Mock Trial Team is an organization committed to scholarly and personal growth of our members through the preparation of a criminal or civil trial proceeding. Mock Trial is open to students of all areas of study and is designed to challenge students’ ability to critically analyze and effectively present legal arguments. After extensive preparation of attorney materials and witness performances, the Ohio University Mock Trial Team performs their case alongside an opponent in front of legal professionals for critique.
The 2024-25 Mock Trial Executive Board is composed of President Ava Poling, Vice President Katie Buschle, Communications Liaison Kara Carter, Treasurer James Cox, and New Member Coordinator Spencer Boakye. Mock Trial is also guided by Ohio University Pre-Law Advisor, Mr. Larry Hayman and Assistant Coach Ashley Johnson.
