The Women's Center, under the Division of Diversity & Inclusion, is pleased to announce a new faculty and staff development program, entitled Women Leading OHIO. The program will begin on October 2nd, with applications to participate in the program due on
August 21st. Accepted participants will meet individually with the Director of the Women's Center prior to the start of the program to discuss career goals so that mentor matches can be made prior to the start of the program.
Women Leading OHIO is entering its fourth year, and will be open to fifteen participants. It is most beneficial to early-career (defined as within the first three years) Ohio University employees.
If you are accepted to the program, you are committing to weekly workshops from October 2nd through April 30th from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Additionally, applicants will be provided with mentorship and job shadowing opportunities.
The Women's Center will work with participants' colleges or departments in order to secure a $700 contribution to the Women's Center in order to cover the cost of the program. If you have any questions, or would like a written letter about the program be
sent to your department or college, please contact Dr. Murray at email@example.com. (Update 5/4/2020: Due to the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Women's Center is reevaluating the fee structure for Women Leading OHIO and is working
to consider how the program may be offered at a greatly reduced (or free) rate. We will update applicants with anticipated changes to the program as soon as possible)
We will attend the ACE Women's Network Ohio conference on November 6th (at Ohio University) as well as the Ohio University Lancaster Women's Conference in March.
